Cheshire Phoenix pulled off an impressive comeback to overcome London Lions and reach the 2018 BBL Cup Final.

Ben Thomas’ side trailed by 13 heading into the Second Leg, but a 16-point road victory seals the club’s first Final appearance in the Cup since 2010.

Leading scorers – Robinson 20, Ikhinmwin 13, Peel 12 (Lions) – Jackman 23, Gettys 17, Sandoval 16 (Phoenix)

Turning point – Phoenix came out firing with a 4-15 start and headed into the half-time break with the overall lead in the tie. The Lions made a late rally, but it was not enough as the visitors held on to secure the Semi-Final victory.

Key stat – The Lions – defending a 13-point lead – never led in the contest and Cheshire were able to take control throughout.

Game hero – Orlan Jackman found his rhythm early on his way to a game-high 23 points for Phoenix to set another date in Birmingham having won the competition with Esh Group Eagles Newcastle last season.
