Cheshire Phoenix are happy to announce that Ben Thomas will continue as Head Coach for the 2017-2018 season.
The club finished with a 7-6 record under the leadership of Thomas, with the NIX narrowly missing out on a playoff position.
Ben commented, “Firstly I’d like to thank the club for supporting me at the end of last season; that includes everyone, from the fans to the volunteers and to the board members. Both myself and the club have agreed on where we want the club to be and how we can get there. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I know it’s going to come with a range of challenges but with the support of the other coaches and the continued support of the nixnation I’m sure we can be successful.”
Mike Burton, Chairman said, “We are delighted to appoint Ben as the new Head Coach. He did a fantastic job towards the end of the season in difficult circumstances and we will provide him with all the support necessary to fulfil his role.”
Recruitment for the new season is underway with the club looking at a number of options to improve on the performances of the previous season.
