Club legend Robbie Peers makes return to Cheshire Phoenix

Cheshire Phoenix are ecstatic to announce that Robbie Peers has agreed to return to the club as the new head coach.

Robbie Peers has won every honour in the BBL when he was in charge of the club 13 years ago and is one of the most successful coaches in BBL history.

Robbie was the most successful coach in the clubs history having won 7 trophies during his time here including the famous ‘Jetwash’ which saw the club win all four trophies in the 2001/02 season.

Chairman Mike Burton stated, “It’s fantastic news, for me and for the Cheshire Phoenix. He is a professional and thorough coach and I am sure everyone will be excited at the prospect of Robbie coming back and coaching the team; the old and the new fans.

Coach Peers had this to say,

“I’m back home where it all started. I am excited for the challenge ahead and we are looking forward to turning the season around.”

Robbie has put together a new coaching team that will include Mike Burton, James Brice and Ben Thomas.

It will be an exciting return to our home venue at EPSV on the 29th January and we urge all fans to get behind Robbie and the new look team.
