DiNunno erupts to torch visiting Lions

Cheshire Phoenix turned on the style on offence as they recorded a 111-94 triumph over London Lions on their home floor.
Mike DiNunno put up an impressive 40 points to lead Phoenix to their second win over the Lions in as many weeks having also hit the game-winner last Friday.
Jamell Anderson added 24 points with all five starters in double figures as they move to within four wins of eighth spot with the Play-Offs still within reach.
Phoenix made an 8-2 start before the visitors settled and edged ahead at 21-22 after 10 minutes. The Lions led by four in the second, but a 9-0 run gave Cheshire a five-point advantage heading into half-time.
The scoring streak continued when play resumed as the hosts started with a 13-0 run to the third quarter before London responded with the next 11.
DiNunno hit three straight 3-pointers to move past 30 points and led his side into a commanding position by the end of the third as they led by 16.
London battled to remain in the game but could not get any closer than a 12-point deficit as Cheshire ran out comfortable winners.
The Lions drop to 14-13 as they continue to fight to secure their Play-Off place with Cheshire needing a strong finish.
