DBL Sharks Sheffield are now in outright fourth spot in the BBL standings after following up last Friday’s win at Leeds Force with success at Cheshire.
In a game that was tight throughout, Sharks managed to make a telling run during the middle of the last quarter and hang on for victory in the closing seconds as Phoenix threatened a comeback.

Turning point – It was locked up at 65-65 with five minutes to go when Sharks posted six unanswered points that were part of a 9-2 run and that gave them the cushion needed in crunch time.
Key stat – The 25 bench points for Sharks was a big number in comparison to just 8 for Phoenix.
Game hero(es) – Chris Alexander continued his rich vein of form with 20 points, while Tony Wroblicky shot 7 of 9 and frontcourt partner Mike Tuck had a solid double-double of 12 points and 10 boards. Meanwhile Zach Gachette was a perfect 3 of 3 from long-range and that was important too.
