Today, Team GB officially announced the initial 24-man roster who will take on Montenegro and Germany in the opening fixtures of the EuroBasket 2021 qualifying campaign. Our very own Ben Mockford was among those selected to represent Great Britain.
Ben has been sensational for the Phoenix ever since he joined the club back in October 2019. The sharpshooter has entertained Phoenix fans with his deep three-point baskets and intricate finishes at the rim.
Mockford is averaging 15.9 points-per-game in the BBL Championship. He has racked up 20+ points on nine occasions across three different competitions (BBL Trophy, Cup, Championship).
Team GB will travel to Podgorica to play Montenegro on the 21st of February. They’ll then return to the UK and make their way to Newcastle, where they’ll host Germany on the 24th.
