Cheshire Phoenix are thrilled to announce the signing of American center Jimbo Lull.
Lull was born in Manhattan Beach, California, and spent four years playing for the San Francisco Dons in the West Coast Conference (NCAA D1).
The 7-foot, 252lbs center received a WCC All-Conference Honorable Mention at the end of his senior year, in which he played 34 games (all starts) and averaged 11.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per night whilst shooting 56.9% from the floor.
Before signing for the Nix, the Californian big-man had a brief stint in Serbia, where he suited up for KK Sloboda Uzice on two occasions and averaged 7.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game on 62.5% shooting from the field.
Ben Thomas: “Jimbo is exactly what we need right now. He’s a real presence on the court and will help us in the paint at both ends of the floor.
“He’s a vocal player that will really anchor our team from that center position.
“I know he is highly motivated to have a great season here with us and we can’t wait to get started!”
Jimbo Lull: “I am really excited to be joining the Phoenix. I’m looking forward to meeting the team and staff. I can’t wait to get to work.
“Definitely excited about the season and hopefully we come together as a team to win some games.”
Following Jimbo’s arrival, we have parted ways with Eric Hamilton. We would like to wish Eric the best of luck in his future endeavors.
