INJURY UPDATE: Sehill Mouliom

Cheshire Phoenix can sadly confirm that French forward Sehill Mouliom is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury.

Mouliom picked up the injury against the Surrey Scorchers on Feb. 28 and was forced to miss recent league games against the Leicester Riders (March 5),  Sheffield Sharks (March 7) and Bristol Flyers (March 12).

Phoenix head coach Ben Thomas said: “I really feel for Sehill. Firstly, he’s a great guy! All of his teammates get on really well with him and he had a great attitude.

“But on the court we will miss his hard work. He really stepped up when we needed him to and ultimately helped the team get into the position where we are now.

“Hopefully his recovery goes well and we will see him back on a basketball court soon!”

Mouliom added: “Unfortunately I have to go back home to get my shoulder right after what happened in the game against Surrey because I do not want it to get worse, especially being only in my rookie year and wanting to play for a long time.

“It happened at a bad time because we have a lot of really important games happening right now for that playoffs push but the team is rolling right now and I’ll keep on being part of the team however I can and hopefully I can be back by the time playoffs start!”

Mouliom returned to France, where he will rehab his shoulder, earlier today.

The club wishes Sehill all the best for a full and speedy recovery.
