Cheshire Phoenix are pleased to announce the addition of American guard Namon Wright.
The 6’5 guard represented the Leicester Riders in the BBL during the 2019-20 season where he averaged 15.7 points per game whilst shooting 43% from the 3-point line.
Most recently, Wright had a brief spell in Finland before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This a great signing for the club! Namon is a proven scorer in this league and also knows how to win here. Namon will play alongside Teddy and Jules in the backcourt giving us a very versatile set of guards.
“Namon will come in at the shooting guard position and we will look to him to really stretch the floor for us. His size and athleticism will also be a real problem for any opposing team and that’s another attribute that we will look to use at both ends of the floor.
“I know after this past year Namon is really hungry and ready to get to work. We’re looking forward to a great season together!”
