Radwan Bakkali joins Nix on short-term deal

Cheshire Phoenix are pleased to announce the signing of Radwan Bakkali on a short-term deal.

The 6’9 British center played in the NCAA D1 at Jacksonville during his junior year of college. Bakkali then suited up for ETB Wohnbau (Germany) and Ostuni (Italy).

Bakkali was originally brought in as cover for Noah Dickerson at the start of pre-season, but earned his short-term deal through his performances and first-class attitude.

On signing with the Nix, Bakkali said: “I’m simply grateful to be given the opportunity to return to a team environment, doing what I love most.

“Coach Ben and the rest of the team have been nothing but great to me since my first day here, I’m happy to have shown enough to be kept around. I’m looking forward to making the most of each and every day here as part of a team that will be competitive.

“Obviously I bring some added size to the team but even more so I feel I’ll bring an unselfish, hardworking style of play that’ll contrast and compliment the pieces we already have in place.”
