Cheshire Phoenix has invited staff from over 20 GPs in the Cheshire area to attend our last home game of 2021 against the Plymouth City Patriots on the 19th of December (5:30 p.m. tip-off).
As a community-focused club, it is our objective to give back and help those that have helped us!
Key workers have kept us safe by putting their own lives at risk since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we wanted to show our gratitude by inviting them to celebrate Christmas with us as well as experiencing a professional basketball game!
With a couple of Great Britain internationals and plenty of American stars on show, the stage is set for a great evening at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village!
Phoenix general manager James Brice said: “This event is a great chance to give back to the local heroes who have been putting their lives on the front line throughout the heart of the pandemic. We are really excited to invite staff from local GP surgeries to celebrate Christmas with us whilst experiencing a professional basketball game! Christmas is a special time which we are excited to spend with local heroes!”
