BBL Trophy game to go ahead as planned

Our BBL Trophy First Round fixture against Scottish side Sony Centre Fury WILL GO AHEAD this Sunday, 9th January (5:30 p.m. tip-off).

The game was initially in doubt due to the floor being damaged following a roof leak at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village, however staff at the facility have been working around the clock to fix the court in time for Sunday’s game against Fury.

Following the news of Josh McSwiggan’s departure, we can also confirm that Larry Austin Jr. will miss the game after testing positive for COVID-19.

Phoenix head coach Ben Thomas tested positive for COVID-19 following our last game of 2021 against the Manchester Giants, however he will be back in time for Sunday’s game.

We cannot wait to see the Nix Nation at our first game of 2022! Bring a friend, make some noise and get behind the team as we aim to progress into the Quarter-Final of the BBL Trophy!
