Cheshire Phoenix can confirm that shooting guard Ben Mockford has left the club after receiving a significant offer from a club in France.
Ben established himself as one of the best shooters in the BBL and a real fan favourite during his two stints at the club (2019/20 & 2021/22).
Upon his departure Ben said: “I want to say a huge thank you to the Cheshire Phoenix, the fans, players, coaching staff and management. I can’t speak highly enough of those guys.
“Good luck with the rest of the season and I’ll be tuning in for the Trophy final from France! All the best, B Mock!”
Phoenix general manager James Brice added: “Sometimes things come along for players that they can’t refuse and after talking with Ben, this is the right thing for him and his future. We want to thank Ben for everything he has done for the club since he returned and wish him all the success in France and his future after that.
We would like to thank Ben for his services and wish him the very best of luck in France!
